The Ford Maverick made a comeback in 2021 to become one of the company’s best sellers. Ford delivered a total 39,061 Mavericks in Q1 ’24 in the U.S. The 2022 and 2023 Maverick have a combined total of 10 recalls. The 2023 Model: Electrical System (3), Engine (1), Exterior Lighting (2), Power Train (1), Tires (1). The 2022 Model: Air bags (1), Electrical System (4), Engine (1), Engine and Engine cooling (1), Exterior Lightening (2), Fuel System, Gasoline (1), Power Train (1), Seat Belts (1), Service Brakes , Hydraulic (1), Structure (1).
Ford is recalling just under half a million SUVs and pick-up trucks, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said on Wednesday. The recall includes certain 2021-2024 Bronco Sport and 2022-2023 Maverick compact pick-up trucks.
The body and power train control modules may fail to detect a change in the 12-volt battery state of charge, causing a potential loss of drive power and issues with electrical accessories such as hazard lights .
Dealers will recalibrate the body control and powertrain control modules to fix the issue for free, according to the NHTSA.
