Winter storm Enzo, a rare southern blizzard, dumped an historic amount of snow on New Orleans on Tuesday Jan. 21. Flights in and out of the city remain canceled or severely restricted Wednesday morning, potentially impacting travel to NADA’s 2025 show taking place in the Crescent city Jan. 23-26. “We understand the winter storm has impacted travel plans for many.” NADA posted “BUT the NADA Show remains on schedule thanks to proactive steps taken over the weekend in collaboration with city leaders, facility representatives, service contractors, hotels, and more.”
According to FlightAware 89% of outbound flights and 90% of flights inbound to the city had been canceled on Tuesday. Many inbound flights to New Orleans International Airport have been canceled for Wednesday Jan 22 as of 5am due to the threat of ice. Pending weather conditions, flights at MSY are expected to resume on Thursday.
MSY airport officials have urged travelers to monitor their flights through their airlines to keep up with the latest on delays and cancellations. Travelers should also consider road closures before traveling to and from the airport due to significant ice on the roadways.
