Trump Names New FTC Chair

President-elect Donald Trump announced appointments to the Federal Trade Commission on his Truth Social account, NIADA reported,

Trump announced the appointment of current FTC commissioner Andrew Ferguson as the next chairman of the agency. He will replace the current Chairwoman Lina Khan, who had led the agency since March 2021.

Trump also named Mark Meador as a commissioner to create a new Republican majority.

Ferguson joined the FTC in April 2024. He previously was the Solicitor General for Virginia and worked antitrust cases at several Washington, D.C. law firms.
