Cars.com on Nov. 7 reported revenue for the third quarter totaled $179.7 million, an increase of $5.3 million and up over 3%, compared to the prior year period. Subscription-based Dealer revenue grew 2% year-over-year, driven by D2C Media and digital experience performance, and partially offset by a decrease in marketplace revenue related to macroeconomic trends impacting dealer profitability. OEM and National revenue grew 17% year-over-year, benefitting from broad-based demand as manufacturers seek increased consumer awareness of on-lot inventory.
Third quarter ARPD was $2,478 compared to $2,548 in the prior year period. As of September 30, 2024, Dealer Customers totaled 19,255, compared to 19,390 as of June 30, 2024.
