Mercedes-Benz USA is recalling certain 2024 models, 16 in all. The battery management system software may cause the high-voltage battery to shut down, which can result in a sudden loss of drive power.

The NHTSA campaign number is 24V372000.

The potential number of units affected is 14,912.

Dealers will update the battery management system software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 23.
