BHPH United Summit Convention ‘Successful’

By Staff Writer May 19, 2023

Nearly 400 attendees made up of buy-here, pay-here dealers from across the country attended the recent BHPH United Summit at the Bellagio in Las Vegas for an immersive three days of dealer-to-dealer education, training, and networking without the usual vendor trade show and sales pitches.

Sponsors reported that those who attended this year’s event considered it a “resounding success,” especially the dealer-to-dealer education, since it provided real-world, real-time insight into the marketplace.

“This was another successful year for the BHPH United Summit with a concerted effort to provide unparalleled education for BHPH dealers nationwide,” said Ariad Sommer, CEO of Ituran USA. “We are thrilled with the attendance and positive feedback from this year’s event, and plans are underway for another exciting Summit next year with even more educational opportunities.”

The education sessions were developed by the BHPH United Dealer Advisory Board made up of BHPH dealers of various sizes from across the country. Classes were primarily dealer-led and fell into one of four tracks: Sales; Underwriting/Collections; Inventory/Recon/Service; and Financial & Human Management. This year, the organizers added an educational track for Spanish-speaking attendees – an industry first – which was well-attended and will be incorporated into future events.

As part of the opening general session, the founders of BHPH United presented the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association (NIADA) with a check in the amount of $50,000 to assist NIADA fulfill its primary purpose to be the voice of the independent dealer in public policy arenas.

Next year’s summit will be held at the Bellagio April 24-26, 2024.
