Universal Technical Institute, a provider of transportation and skilled trades education programs, has launched its new BMW FastTrack technician training program at the Lisle, Illinois, campus.
BMW FastTrack, a 12-week advanced training program, is a collaboration between the luxury-class German automaker and UTI. The program provides state-of-the-industry training on the latest models in production, utilizing tools, technology and procedures that are specific and proprietary to BMW vehicles.
Any student who completes UTI’s core automotive program is now eligible to apply for the additional BMW-specific training, which includes four technologies: workshop, electrical, chassis and drivetrain. Graduates of the BMW FastTrack program are able to earn seven BMW factory credentials and a BMW Associate Level Certification after passing BMW-specific ASE testing and assessments. Graduates may also apply for additional, advanced training in the BMW STEP program, which is offered at BMW locations.
Tuition reimbursement is offered by BMW to eligible graduates on a quarterly basis once they’re employed at an eligible BMW dealership. Full reimbursement of the FastTrack program’s cost is paid out if the graduate remains employed over a three-year period.
Enrollment for the program is ongoing. The BMW FastTrack program is also offered at UTI’s Avondale, Ariz., Orlando, Fla., Exton, Pa., Houston, Texas and Long Beach, Calif. campuses.
