Ford recalls 1.5M vehicles to fix brake hoses, wiper arms

By Staff Writer March 18, 2023

Ford Motor Co. announced a recall in a Friday morning statement. The automaker is recalling more than 1.5 million vehicles, involving two actions, one to fix leaky brake hoses and the other to repair windshield wiper arms that can break.

The largest of the two recalls covers nearly 1.3 million 2013-2018 Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKX midsize cars. Documents posted Friday by safety regulators said the front brake hoses can rupture and leak brake fluid. Ford will mail owner notification letters starting April 17. Customers will get a second letter once parts are available for the fix.
