Auctions Raise $22,276 for Breast Cancer

By Staff Writer November 12, 2021

Akron Auto Auction and Value Auto Auction raised $22,276 for the Breast Cancer Fund of Ohio during their joint fundraising efforts in October. This is, by far, the largest donation the auctions have ever made to this cause. To achieve this milestone contribution, Akron Auto and Value Auto each sold pink Breast Cancer apparel to dealers and staff, received generous donations from dealers and partners, as well as sold charity auction vehicles at both locations.

“We want to thank our amazing customers and staff for their charitable kindness during this year’s Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser,” said Caysie Payne, AAA’s Human Resources Director. “We are proud to be able to help contribute to this ongoing fight against breast cancer and we look forward to continue our effort again next October and ‘Drive Hope.’”

The auctions presented the check to Joy Lewis, executive director of The Breast Cancer Fund of Ohio, earlier this month in Akron.
