Minivans sales have been in decline over the past few years with only around 400,000 new minivans sold in 2019 commanding only 2% of U.S auto sales.
Kia's solution? Take on the minivan doldrums with a full redesign.

Kia trades in its old Logo in in a dynamic rebrand
The Carnivall has adopted the Square-styled "tiger-nose" grille look and an overall SUV-like appearance. Dubbing the Carnival a "grand utility vehicle," a "GUV", Kia is attempting to downplay its minivan roots. The redesign has incorporated elements of the hugely popular telluride SUV and added some cutting edge high tech with UVO voice control. UVO is the latest in connected car technology, it seamlessly connects to a smartphone or smartwatch . Under the hood the minivan is working with an 8-Speed Sportsmatic Transmission and the interior has leather seats with back seats that recline individually and versatile seating combinations with 7, 8 and 9 seat combos.

Kia's new Carnival may very well have Soccer Mom's and Dad's across the country and indie bands on tour taking a 2nd look at the minivan in 2022.
