By Staff Writer January 06, 2021

AutoHunter sold a rare 1964 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt for $217,000. One of only 100 ever produced, the Thunderbolt was a special-order high-performance vehicle built with the sole purpose of winning NHRA drag racing events. The example sold on AutoHunter is one of only 49 produced with a 4-speed manual transmission.

“We are seeing an increasing number of automotive enthusiasts becoming comfortable with buying and selling collector cars through online auctions,” said Roger Falcione, CEO of AutoHunter. “We are proud to provide an industry-leading level of transparency and security for each one of our bidders and consignors.”
