Ford, Kia and Mercedes-Benz were multiple winners of the Edmunds Top Rated Awards 2021. These awards are determined by a combination of proprietary data and insights from Edmunds’ extensive new vehicle testing and rating process, and the winners represent the best vehicles available to car shoppers.

Ford F15 won top rated truck

The Ford F-150 received the top rated truck award and the Ford Mustang Mach-E was named the top rated luxury EV. The Kia K5 and Telluride were named the top-rated sedan and SUV, respectively. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class and GLE were named the top-rated luxury sedan and luxury SUV, respectively.

Other winners include the Chevrolet Corvette (top-rated sports car) and the Tesla Model 3 (top-rated EV).

“At Edmunds, our primary focus is to help inform and empower consumers as they search for their next vehicle. And that’s why, unlike other industry awards that tend to highlight the hottest new vehicles that just happened to debut this year, the Edmunds Top Rated Awards recognize the best vehicles on sale today, irrespective of when they were launched,” said Alistair Weaver, editor-in-chief at Edmunds. “Each year, Edmunds’ editors drive over half a million miles and conduct thousands of hours of testing on more than 300 vehicles. Car shoppers looking for vehicles that deliver a best-in-class experience need to look no further than the Edmunds Top Rated Awards.”
