Massachusetts’ Lou Tedeschi officially took over the presidency of the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association at the kick-off of the group’s first ever virtual convention on Sept. 22.

Tedeschi is  president of A.S.P.I. Motor Cars in Dedham, Mass. He’s been in business independently for more than 35 years.

The NIADA/NABD  Virtual Convention runs for three consecutive Tuesdays – Sept. 22, Sept. 29 and Oct. 6.

Tedeschi expressed regret at not being able to present his remarks before his fellow dealers in person. He said he looks forward to serving the needs of the average dealer, the small- business people who make up the majority of the NIADA membership.

Tim West, who is retiring this year from Black Book, virtually presented Tedeschi with the president’s ring, a regular tradition during the NIADA’s presidential transition.
