There is no question in my mind that Hayley Geftman-Gold is a highly intelligent woman. She has a BA from Penn and a law degree from Columbia. She was a high-level attorney at a large corporation. So why would she in public (well, on Facebook, which is close), something as horrible as “I’m actually not even sympathetic bc [sic] country music fans often are Republican gun toters [sic].” Granted, this seemed like a personal conversation. But it wasn't.
The problem is that today we have a hard time drawing boundaries. There are fewer and fewer things you don't discuss in polite society. But again I am amazed at what people in high-profile positions will put down in writing (granted, electronic writing). Your communications can be hacked or accessed in some other way and all that stuff is going to get out to the public.
Again, I recommend this guy as your role model.
