Dadwagon Wins Rebuild Contest

Copart Inc. announced the winner of its Fourth Annual Copart Rebuild Challenge. The contest was designed for car enthusiasts and auto rebuilders to show how they restored, customized or rebuilt a vehicle.Copart members from across the country submitted before- and after-photos of their rebuild projects for a chance to win the $5,000 grand prize. A panel of Copart judges narrowed the contest entries to 12 finalists, and then thousands participated in a public vote to decide the first, second and third prizewinners.After the voting period ended, the $5,000 Grand Prize was awarded to Shaun Lynn from Cleburne, Texas. In his photo, Lynn depicted how he rebuilt a Subaru Outback bought from Copart, which he deemed the “Dadwagon.”

GWC Warranty Announces Conference Contest

GWC Warranty announced the first-ever Elite Dealer conference. Eligible GWC Warranty Elite Dealers who qualify for the Elite Dealer conference will have the opportunity to earn a spot for themselves and a guest on one of two trips. Fifty 1st-prize winners will win a trip for themselves and a guest to Le Blanc Spa Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico. The top 10 performing Elite Dealers receive the Grand Prize: a spot on a Mediterranean cruise aboard the Silver Wind by Silversea.

Dent Wizard Techs Win Contest

Technicians from Dent Wizard International earned first and second place honors in the annual PDR (Paintless Dent Removal) Dent Olympics competition at the 2017 International Mobile Tech Expo, held Jan. 19-21 in Orlando.Taking home first place in the 2017 PDR Dent Olympics was Billy Martin, who works in Dent Wizard's Northeast Region.  Second place went to Kyle Violette from the Midwest Region, and Jody Stewart from the Southeast Region earned twelfth place.  Only the top 13 finishers in the competition earn awards.  Approximately 60 PDR techs participated in this year's PDR Dent Olympics, including techs from Italy, Germany, Japan, Russia, Brazil and across the U.S.Competitors in the PDR Olympics are given 45 minutes to fix one very challenging dent in a car door panel.  Competitors' work is judged on repair quality and speed.Martin, the first-place finisher, earned a trophy plus $3,000 in tools and gift cards for his accomplishment.  Second-place finisher Violette earned a trophy plus $1,000 in tools and gift cards.  Martin, Violette and Stewart also earned tool credit rewards from Dent Wizard.
