ServNet has announced the first recipients of the group's scholarship program, which was established this year as an ongoing initiative to help ServNet auction employees and their families pursue the dream of higher education.
Three scholarships of $1,500 went to students attending two-year colleges.
Derrick Gough (an employee at Greater Rockford Auto Auction, and son of GRAA's business manager Katrina Gough) begins his sophomore year at Rock Valley College in the fall, where he is working toward his associate’s degree in philosophy.
Jake Pierog (son of Michele Pierog of Auto Auction of New England) is a sophomore at Suny University, where he majors in liberal arts, individual studies.
Lauren Simoneau (daughter of Kevin Simoneau of KCI Kansas City). She attends Metropolitan Community College at Maple Woods, majoring in child & family development.
Three $2,500 scholarships went to students at a 4-year college or university.
Nina Emmick (daughter of Angela Emmick of KCI Kansas City), who attends the University of South Dakota, where she is pursuing a major in nursing and a minor in child & adolescent development.
Jasmine Jaghab (daughter of Delmy Jaghab of BSC America's Bel Air Auto Auction) begins her senior year this fall at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she is majoring in political science and psychology.
Michael Parisi (son of Erin McNeill of Auto Auction of New England) is a sophomore at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences where he is studying to be a physician assistant.
