Cox Automotive Hosts Digital Marketing Training

Cox Automotive has launched Nextology, a digital marketing strategy series presented by Autotrader, Kelley Blue Book, and Dealer.com.
Nextology events will combine dynamic working sessions, data-driven keynotes, and strategic consultations, all in a premier setting with overnight accommodations provided.
Attendees will also learn about and demo new and emerging products.
The next event will take place at the Intercontinental Hotel in Boston July 19-20. Additional dates will be announced later this year.

Cars.com Receives Patent for Insight Tool

Cars.com Inc. has received a patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for its Lot Insights technology.
First introduced in 2015, Lot Insights technology identifies mobile consumers on or near dealership lots to provide valuable insights for automotive advertisers. The patented technology allows for more precise, accurate, location-based consumer data for Cars.com dealer partners.
Using Lot Insights technology, Cars.com created the new On-the-Lot Trends Report by analyzing mobile consumer shopping behavior to identify the top viewed makes and models by style.

Honda Unveils CPO Website

Honda recently debuted a completely redesigned certified pre-owned vehicle website at www.HondaCertified.com.

The new site makes inventory the primary focal point for shoppers, introducing a new inventory alert feature for the most up-to-date vehicle availability information. The revamped site also filters inventory search results by specific features (e.g., leather interior or rearview camera) to help visitors find the vehicle that is right for them.

Once a shopper creates an alert, Honda will notify that customer when the vehicle they are looking for is available.  Visitors can view and compare suggestions for other Honda Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles they may be interested in. 

The new site enables users to share the vehicles they're considering with friends and family. Shoppers can compare different Honda models to help make their vehicle decision. 

New website design aims to provide a seamless user experience across all platforms, regardless of device. 

The new www.HondaCertified.com offers the latest photos of your favorite Honda vehicles, as well as videos showcasing Honda cars and light trucks in action

NAAA Looks into Future

The National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) announced the retention of noted automotive industry consultant Glenn Mercer to undertake a 10-year look ahead into the future of wholesale auto auctions.
NAAA has concluded that it is in the best interests of its members to provide them with objective and informed research into how these and other changes might affect their future prospects. Armed with such research, members will be better equipped to revise and update their business plans.
An experienced auto-industry consultant, Mercer will create a 10-year forecast for the auction industry, based on wide-ranging interviews with industry participants and research into changes in the industry's supply, demand, and technology environments.
