State Suspends Store for Lack of Records

State Suspends Store for Lack of Records Featured

The Michigan Secretary of State has suspended the license of an auto dealership because of multiple, serious recordkeeping violations discovered during an inspection.

The owners of Driven Motors, Larry Baxter and Rick Baxter, are alleged to have failed to maintain any records and make them available for inspection. The Jackson dealership also was unable to account for eight dealer plates assigned to it and had no vehicle inventory on the lot.

It has been in business since July 2009.
