Auction Employees Race for the Cure

manheim_caliManheim California employees participated in the 21st annual Komen Orange County Race for the Cure in Newport Beach, Calif., on Sept 23.

More than 50 employees from the auction and surrounding area and their family members joined the walk and raised approximately $3,000 from bake sales and donations to help with the fight against breast cancer.

"Our team was very excited about being involved in such a worthwhile cause that supports the fight against breast cancer," said Richard Steffy, assistant general manager of Manheim California.  "This is the fourth year our employees and their families participated in the walk, and we look forward to continuing our support of this fantastic event that helps fund important community programs."

Funds raised at the Komen Orange County Race for the Cure help support local breast health outreach, screening coordination, mammography for women in need and treatment services to underserved women in the community. A quarter of the funds raised go directly into the Komen Global Research Fund to energize science to find the cure.
