Columbus Fair Honors Employees

Columbus Fair Auto Auction (CFAA) hosted the Columbus Zoo’s Director Emeritus Jack Hanna in its lanes as a part of its employee appreciation day on May 30.

The event marks the third year in a row that CFAA has hosted Hanna along with animals from the Columbus Zoo. Employees and buyers were able to get their pictures taken with him and the animals and then receive the printed photo.

This year’s animals included a kangaroo, tree sloth, penguin, and crocodile.

In addition, a fully restored 1969 Camaro, known as “Jack’s Wild Ride,” was on site and buyers at the auction were eligible to receive raffle tickets based on the number of cars bought.

Raffle tickets could also be purchased for the Camaro, which is scheduled to be raffled off at Zoofari, the zoo’s annual fundraising event to benefit conservation efforts around the world, on June 16.

The day was capped off with an employee lunch from the outside grill area, where employees could come by and pick up their lunch or sit down at the picnic tables and enjoy the sunny weather.
