Manheim Index Reaches Highest Point in Six Months

Wholesale used vehicle prices increased 1.33 percent month-over-month in April on a mix-, mileage-, and seasonally adjusted basis.

This brought the Manheim Used Vehicle Value Index to 132.5, a 6.3 percent increase from a year ago and the highest level since last November.
On a year-over-year basis, all major market segments saw price gains in April.

Compact cars and vans outperformed the overall market, while SUV/CUVs and pickups underperformed the overall market. Collectively, nonluxury vehicles outperformed the market, while luxury vehicles underperformed.
