Manheim Index Reaches Lowest Level Since July

By Staff Writer April 09, 2018

Wholesale used vehicle prices (on a mix-, mileage-, and seasonally adjusted basis) decreased 0.15 percent month-over-month in March.

This brought the Manheim Used Vehicle Value Index to 130.8, which was a 5.4 percent increase from a year ago and the lowest level since last July.

The non-seasonally adjusted index recorded a 3.4 percent increase for the month, which was the strongest March increase since 2014. The slight decline in the seasonally adjusted index value was a result of the seasonal adjustment process expecting more of an increase this year.
