Manheim Shifts to Simulcast

By Staff Writer March 17, 2020

In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Manheim announced it would move to all Simulcast sales through April 3, according to a statement from President Grace Huang.

“Currently, Manheim’s physical auction locations and digital channels are fully operational to serve your buying and selling needs,” Huang said. “However, due to the ongoing public health and safety concerns of COVID-19, we have made the decision to implement Simulcast-only sales at all locations, effective March 16 through April 3.

“During this time, we will be waiving all Simulcast Buy and Simulcast Sell Success fees. Taking care of our clients is at the center of everything we do, and this move will enable us to help our clients keep their businesses moving forward. During non-sale days, our locations will be operating as normal and open to sellers and buyers. During sale day, seller representatives will be allowed to represent their vehicles, but we encourage all seller representatives to use our online seller tools.

“Buyers may view vehicles on the lot but are asked to respect social distancing. However, buying dealers will not be allowed to enter the physical auction buildings or lanes during sale day.”

Manheim, like other companies, will continue to announce updates as new information arises.
