NICB Names Most Stolen Vehicles

Honda Civic, Accord and Ford pickups are the most stolen vehicles in the United States, according to a recent report.

The National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) released its annual Hot Wheels report, which identifies the 10 most stolen vehicles in the U. S. The report examines vehicle theft data submitted by law enforcement to the National Crime Information Center and determines the vehicle make, model, and model year most reported stolen in 2018.

According to the FBI, in 2018, a total of 748,841 vehicles were stolen in the United States, a 3 percent decline.

The Top 10 most stolen vehicles in 2018: GMC full-size pickup; Ford full-size pickup; Toyota Camry; Nissan Altima; Chevrolet full-size pickup; Hyundai Elantra; Ford Transit; Dodge Charger; Toyota Corolla, and Chevrolet Malibu.
