Lexus, Mazda, Toyota Top Reliability Ratings Featured

Brands like Dodge, Mazda and Porsche made gains while Acura, Volkswagen and Audi dropped in Consumer Reports Annual Auto Reliability Survey released Nov. 14 in Detroit before the Automotive Press Association.

The brands topping the most reliable list included: Lexus, Mazda, Toyota, Porsche, Genesis, Hyundai, Subaru, Dodge, Kia and Mini.

Cadillac ranked last in reliability. Other brands finishing in the bottom third of the rankings included: Alfa Romero, Acura, Volkswagen, Jeep, Chevrolet, Volvo, Tesla, GMC and Mercedes-Benz.

Japanese models continue to be the best for new-car reliability in the survey, which is based on data collected from more than 400,000 vehicles.
