Cars.com: Decrease in Dealer Customers Featured

Cars.com Inc. reported revenue dropped in the third quarter, to $152.1 million, from $169.3 million in the year-ago quarter.

The decrease was primarily due to a decline in dealer customers and a $7.9 million drop in national advertising revenue, resulting from a reduction in upfront commitments for 2019 and lower close rates from OEMs. These declines were partially offset by growth in digital solutions revenue as well the uplift from affiliate conversions.
