Manheim Index Finishes Flat for Month Featured

The Manheim Used Vehicle Value Index was flat in July.

The index stood at 140.5, the same as in June. Prices were 0.01 percent higher, Manheim reports.

The index measures wholesale prices on a mix-, mileage-, and seasonally adjusted basis.

The index was up 2.6 percent from a year ago.

Prices historically have declined by about 1 percent in July.

On a year-over-year basis, most major market segments saw weak seasonally adjusted price gains in July. Vans and pickups outperformed the overall market, while most other major segments underperformed the overall market.
