A Future for the CFPB

You might have read the op-ed piece in today's WSJ by George Mason law professor Todd Zywicki on ways to make the CFPB work.

Many experts I've spoken to say the same thing, that the CFPB isn't inherently flawed, but the way it was assembled, run and staffed was.

Part of the problem was putting a political creature like Richard Cordray in charge. Maybe as Pres. Trump looks around for a permenant director. he should look for somebody with a behind-the-scenes background, like a former director of the Federal Trade Commission's Office of Policy Planning.
