KAR Auction Services Inc. launched its Drivin-powered Pricing Insights, a solution that helps commercial consignors maximize the net economics of their portfolios through optimized pricing.

This newest product in the Drivin Insights Product Suite of portfolio management solutions uses proprietary data science algorithms to produce predictive models for determining VIN-level market channel and pricing.

The model encompasses a suite of input variables beyond those of traditional pricing approaches, that are unique to the KAR ecosystem — generating pricing models that are tailored to each consignor’s unique remarketing goals. The technology is API-driven and fully integrated with private-label platforms and other third-party marketplaces, providing seamless, robust and real-time analytics in a single workflow and minimizing both manual assays and opportunities for error. Daily views are provided allowing consignors to understand real-time performance, impact and results.

Manheim recently announced several upgrades for its Manheim Express mobile app.

The first upgrade involves Manheim Express Concierge Service. Launched nationwide in February, Concierge Service provides dealers with a dedicated expert to help them sell vehicles more efficiently in the wholesale marketplace.

The second update to Manheim Express is the expansion of “Make an Offer” functionality. With this enhancement, dealers can select any combination of purchase options they want to offer potential buyers, ranging from “Bid,” to “Buy-Now” or “Make an Offer.”

Finally, Manheim’s Trade Desk team is also expanding. Created to build relationships with buyers and serve as a their “personal shopper,” the Trade Desk team works to identify vehicles of interest for buyers and help close deals for sellers.

ADESA announced new “natural language” search functionality on ADESA.com.

The natural-language capability mirrors what is used by the world’s leading technology and e-commerce companies and is a first for the automotive remarketing industry. Paired with ADESA.com’s advanced filter options and canonical database, the enhancement substantially reduces the time spent searching for the right vehicles, improving productivity and thus profitability for dealers regardless of their size or sales volume.

The new search capability leverages the leading cloud-based search technology and can return up to 400,000 vehicles in less than two seconds, six times faster than before.

Recovery Database Network (RDN) announced the launch of a new solution that enables recovery agents and automotive creditors to track the repossession status of a vehicle in real time in a single environment.

RDN’s new On-Hook Status feature fully integrates Clearplan data, enabling lenders to be notified instantly that the repossession is complete.

A green, yellow or red status color code in the Clearplan app indicates whether recovery agents can proceed, hold, or cancel the repossession.

Kelley Blue Book recently unveiled Ride, an all-new website built to help educate consumers about mobility options.

Ride includes editorial and video content with dedicated sections focused on alternative-fuel vehicles, self-driving cars and alternatives to car ownership.

Ride also will be working with a collection of lifestyle contributors to create relevant content. Actress and television correspondent, Alison Haislip will host regular video features for Ride. In addition, the site plans to provide tools and calculators to help consumers understand the mobility options and services that best fit their personal and financial needs.
