Small Business Owners Upbeat Despite Shutdown Featured

More than one third of small business owners say their business was affected in some way by the government shutdown.

However, any lingering effects barely register in this quarter’s CNBC/SurveyMonkey Small Business Confidence Survey results.

The overall index score is basically unchanged from last year, coming in at 58, down a single point from fourth quarter of 2018.

Presidential approval, as well, hasn’t budged among small business owners, with 56 percent approving and 43 percent disapproving of the way President Trump is handling his job --exactly the same as in November.
