Auction Industry Exec Passes Away Featured

Long-time auction executive Jim DesRochers died April 29. He was 71.

DesRochers started at Avis in 1970 before moving on to Manheim and Dealers Auto Auction of the Southwest.

DesRochers served as president of the National Auto Auction Association in 2004-05. He also sat on many NAAA committees and was a Western Chapter board member. DesRochers received in 2018 the NAAA Pioneer Award and was a Warren Young Fellow.

DesRochers is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kristine (Kriss) Bernal DesRochers, along with a brother, sister, in-laws, nieces and nephews.
