The Manheim Used Vehicle Value Index rose to its highest level of the year in March.

The Index reached 136 for the month, up from 135.2 in February and 130.8 in March 2018.

Three-year-old vehicle values in aggregate saw four straight weeks of price gains that erased most of the price declines in January and February.

On a year-over-year basis, most major market segments saw seasonally adjusted price gains in March. Midsize cars outperformed the overall market, while all other major segments underperformed the overall market.

The Index adjusts wholesale prices for mix, mileage and seasonality.
