Andy Gabler has resigned as president of the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association.

According to press reports, the FBI raided Gabler’s dealership, Lakeside Auto Group in Pennsylavania, and his home, in connection to an ongoing investigation involving bank loans.

In accordance with NIADA Bylaws, Henry Mullinax of Mullinax Auto Sales in Oxford, Ala., has been named president of NIADA and will immediately begin serving the unexpired term vacated by Gabler.

Mullinax was elected NIADA president-elect by the association's board of directors during its annual meeting in June.
